2016 Sarasota MC Cup : Sarasota Sailing Squadron

About Event

The Sarasota Bay Cup is one of the premier mid-winter regattas which will take place the weekend before the MC Mid-Winters in Eustis, Florida. An hour’s drive south of Tampa on the West Coast, we have unique sailing conditions with reliable winds, and calm, warm waters behind scenic Long Boat Key. With several bays easily accessible, it's almost always possible to find a favorable racing venue What makes racing at Sarasota special is our rich cultural, culinary, shopping and museums for the entire family. We suggest visits to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, next-door Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, St. Armand’s Circle with its high-end shops and restaurants, our world famous crystal beach at Siesta Key, adventure kayaking at Lido Beach and fantastic on shore and off shore fishing. Sarasota boasts the largest collection of modern architecture anywhere in the U.S. For more information on the Sarasota area, see: www.visitsarasota.org.
