ASMBYC Homeport Regatta 2016 : South Bay Yacht Racing Club

About Event

For over 40 years the ASMBYC Homeport Regatta has been turning boaters into racers on the waters of Marina del Rey by providing a no-cost introduction to this exciting facet of the sport. Homeport Regatta is tailored to novice skippers. Eligible skippers will have basic boat-handling skills and will have been at the helm for no more than one ORCA, One Design, PHRF race or two Cruiser-class races within the last 12 months. Homeport Regatta is a two-day event: April 28: The pre-race seminar on Thursday April 28th at 6:30 PM will go over the rules you need to know, as well as many other helpful insights for your first race. This seminar is strongly recommended for skippers who have never raced before. May 1st is race day; racers will meet at Pacific Mariners Yacht Club at 9:00 AM for pre-race instructions and then head out in their boats to go racing. When you register - please just enter what information you have - updates will be made at skippers meeting 9am at PMYC
