The North Carolina Governor’s Cup Regatta is in its 60th year, making it one of the oldest in the Southeast. The Regatta includes up to five races over two days.
Racing takes place off Henderson Point on Kerr Lake which is known for its beautiful expanse of water, tree-lined shores, great family camping, and easy access from Interstate 85.

    Hello sailors!! Our regatta is fast approaching! Coaching is this Friday June 16th, and the Governors Cup Regatta begins this Saturday 6/17. Make sure you're prepared. As usual, it will be HOT, so bring lots of water bottles and keep hydrated. We have our coaching day on Friday, and Pete Levesque is looking forward to speaking with you all! If you didn't get a chance to buy shirts, hats or even a vest, we will have a few on hand for purchase during the weekend. If you have any questions, you are welcome to give me a call or send me an email. 72 Registered Boats: Buccaneer: 14 boats (argh!) Wayfarers: 10 boats Wayfarer Eastern Championship, Carolina SC, Henderson, NC Thistle: 10 boats Flying Scots: 10 boats Jet 14: 8 boats Isotope: 7 boats 420: 6 boats Open: 5 boats Laser: 3 boats We still need race committee. If for some reason you can't sail but would like to be involved or your spouse/adult child will be on site and doesn't want to sit on the dock, please get in touch with me via email.     Dear Sailors, We're up to 63 boats!! Register by June 7th to receive your $20 discount We have new t-shirts and hats again this year, with new designs just for us for our 60th Anniversary. Shirts and hats are our biggest fund raiser for the year, so please purchase them for everyone. They make great gifts for all sailors. We still need race committee.
