“Learn to RACE” is for young sailors who are ready to move beyond basic sailing by learning early racing skills, sailing terms, knots, safety, and an introduction to the rules of racing. Sailors in this class should know how to rig their own boat, basic sailing skills and terminology including sailing upwind and downwind, tacking and jibing. There will be drills, short races, plus a mix of shore sessions covering rigging, race course descriptions, boat handling, sail trim, and racing flags/signals. But don’t worry – we will still have fun too! MUST BE 6 BY JANUARY 1, 2017 No class on July 1
