The Top Gun race is a single hand, single fleet event designed to test the solo skippers sailing skills against tough competitors to determine the Top Gun sailor on Lake Norman. The winner will receive a trophy and have their name and boat prominently posted on the Outrigger Yacht Club home page for the following year.
