2017-18 NYRA Winter Series Regatta Race Dates: October 28, 2017 (Halloween Regatta); November 11, 2017, December 9, 2017 (NYRA Annual Meeting), January 6, 2018, January 20, 2018, and February 3, 2018 (February 4, 2018 -makeup day if needed) SCHEDULE Six Regular Race Days are scheduled for the NYRA Winter Series and one Makeup Race Day is scheduled. Racing will occur on the Makeup Race Day just as it does on Regular Race Days if, and only if, there have not been 8 or more races scored in the Winter Series (including the Halloween Regatta) after the completion of racing on Day 6. If, due to cancellations of any kind, only 7 or fewer races have been scored after the completion of racing on Day 6, racing will continue in the same manner on the Makeup Day. The First Warning Signal for all race days is scheduled at 10:55am. Socials will begin about 5:00pm on every race day, even if racing is canceled. The social location will be announced on the NYRA website. http://www.nyra.org/ REGISTRATION Racers can register only for the initial race, Halloween Regatta, or they can sign up for the whole Winter Series of six races. Only racers who initially register for the entire series will be eligible for the series awards. Registration fees for the 6 Winter Series race days are $150 and registration fees for the Halloween Race only are $30. Registrations received after Monday, October 16, are subject to a $15 late fee. A racer who wishes to register for individual races other than the Halloween Regatta should email the NYRA Treasurer at treasurer@nyra.org with each race registration request and arrange payment of $30 per race.
