Pirates on the Pungo Regatta is a non profit 501 (3) C corporation that currently raises money to benefit local charities and activities in the Belhaven area. In 2015 almost 30 boats ranging from large keelboats to multiple dinghy classes participated. In our 17th year, the POTP Regatta has become a regatta not to be missed on the east coast! The regatta has become a popular event for sailors and landlubbers alike. In addition to two days of racing, the event features a Captain's Reception on Friday evening and a Buccaneer Bash/ Dinner and Dance on Saturday evening.(Code of Conduct: Unsportsmanlike conduct or the use of profanity directed toward any official, any competitor or any other attendee is strictly prohibited and may be cause for dismissal from the competition.)
