The Lauderdale Yacht Club Summer Sailing Program is an exciting chance for new and current young sailors in the Fort Lauderdale community to spend some time on the water while learning about sailing, seamanship and the environment! The Lauderdale Yacht Club Mission Statement includes LYC taking an active role in teaching sailing and seamanship to the community and Summer Camp is that opportunity! Summer Sailing is open to children of both Members and Non-Members alike, ages 5-16! Camp starts at 9AM, and there are many different options for sailors depending on their age and skill level. There is also Friday Night Fun Sailing where the whole family can join in with their children the last Friday of every session. You Gotta Regatta is a one-day fun sailboat race with prizes that closes out Summer Camp on August 4, 2018. Again, the family can come watch in front of LYC while the sailors show off their skills around the buoys! Session 3 is from July 10-21, 2018 and there are many different options for sailors!
