This fun race in memory of CIYC member and avid sailor, John Larson, is hosted by his wife and daughter, Betty Larson and Deborah (Larson) Tyhurst. With a pursuit start format there's no stress at the start line and (theoretically) all boats should finish at approximately the same time. At the Skippers Meeting each boat will receive its assigned start time and a ration of grog for the skipper and crew to give a toast to John at the start and finish. At CIYC after racing will be more grog with burgers and fixins' and race awards.
