Island Hop Regatta:  Gulf Shore National Parks service has discontinued permitting of organized events at Horn Island so we are going to Ship Island for this regatta this year. For those of you who have sailed Slip to Ship you may be accustomed to the course going from OSYC, down Casino Row, honoring marks 12 and 2 and finishing at the 37' tower on the Eastern Tip of Ship Island. THIS RACE WILL BE DIFFERENT! The race course is open to skipper's discretion. The only marks to be honored will be the start/finish line off OSYC beach and the start/finish line at Ship Island. It is skipper's choice to go around the East or West end of Deer Island, whether or not you want to go through either of the cuts in the rip-rap wall at the western end of casino row, etc. You pick it, you sail it. Join in on the island for some fun, eats, drinks, swimming and whatever else pops up. Race two is the run home to OSYC. On Sunday, we have a choice of several courses (see NOR for more detail) and will decide which will provide maximum sailing pleasure once we know what the weather looks like. Entry includes breakfast both days, pizza, beer & a movie under the club for Sat night dinner, 2 t-shirts, Fried chicken lunch on the island, with cold drinks
