Ever wanted to learn how to sail? Or improve your sailing abilities? Riverton Yacht Club invites to you to come learn a skill that will last a lifetime! Riverton Yacht Club (RYC) offers two adult sessions during the summer on the historic Delaware River. RYC’s Adult Sailing Program is designed for adults who have little to no knowledge about sailing, teaching them skills that will they need to know to go sailing on their own, crew on one of our member’s racing boats, or buy their own boat. Qualified U.S. Sailing Instructors will teach all lessons and instruction. Classes will combine both classroom instruction and on water practice. Boating safety, teamwork, rigging/derigging, sailing theory, points of sail, boat handling & maneuverability, and knot tying are some of the topics that will be discussed. Don’t pass up this excellent opportunity to meet new friends, make sailing connections, and learn/improve skills that will keep you sailing for the rest of your life!
