2021 F18 Americas and 2020 US Sailing Multihull Championship for the Hobie Alter Cup. Competitors will be participating from both North and South America sailing out on Alamitos Bay. For this time of year winds are normally 8 - 20 kts from the west/northwest. It is targeted to have two days of racing in the open ocean and two days in more protected waters behind the Long Beach breakwater.
To be eligible for the US Multihull Championship (USMHC) both crew and skipper shall be currents members of US Sailing or their Member National Authority for the duration of the event. Each competitor shall meet the eligibility requirements of the United States Multihull Championship Conditions. Foreign national teams who meet the eligibility requirements are welcome to participate; however, they will not be eligible to win the title or perpetual trophy. They will be eligible to receive event Medals for finishing first, second or third place. The title and perpetual trophy for the USMHC are reserved for a team comprised of those with US Citizenship and or legal US alien status.
