Basic Keelboat Course - (3 Day Course) This class will be conducted from 9am until 4pm on April 27, 29 and 30, 2021, weather permitting. Cost is $500 per person, Optional US Sailing Certification $50. The US Sailing Basic Keelboat Course is the national standard for quality sailing instruction. This course, taught on classic 22 and/or 25ft sloops, includes keelboat concepts, boat and personal preparation, rigging, sail trim, departure and return under sail, basic sailing maneuvers, points of sail, wind-sensing, use of navigational charts, basic navigation rules, emergency procedures, anchoring, man overboard rescue and more. Covid 19 protocols in effect including wearing of masks and social distancing. Class size Minimum/maximum 2.
