2021 NYRA Cinco de Mayo Regatta Blackbeard Sailing Club - New Bern, NC The Cinco de Mayo Regatta is a one design regatta offered for multiple one design classes the Neuse Yacht Racing Association is the organizing authority Schedule of events: 10:30 am - Competitors meeting - BSC Clubhouse deck 12:00 noon - First Starting Sequence - Neuse river 5:30 pm - Shore party - bsc clubhouse - catered by el taco loco mexican restaurant 6:15 pm - Awards ceremony The Regatta will be governed by the 2021-2024 Racing Rules of Sailing. All boats shall comply with N.C. Wildlife Commission and U.S. Coast Guard safety regulations. Expected One-Design classes (SJ21, Sunfish, FJs, Tanzers, 420s, Ensigns, etc.) will race either in Broad Creek just off Blackbeard Sailing Club, or on the Neuse River just outside the mouth of Broad Creek. Multiple races are planned.
