2021 Firecracker and St. Joseph’s/Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta - We invite you to join us for our 2021 Firecracker Regatta on July 17th at SYC! In conjunction with the 2021 Firecracker Regatta, we will also be hosting the St. Joseph’s/Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta for the one design fleet. The goal of this year’s Firecracker Regatta is to promote sailing at the club and to get junior and adult members on the water. The event will be open to Sunish, Opti, and 420 one design fleets. Not only is Firecracker Regatta is the longest standing regatta at the Savannah Yacht Club but this will also be the 25th year of the Leukemia Cup Regatta in Savannah. The Savannah Leukemia Cup Regatta was the first Leukemia Cup in the US to have junior sailors and the 4th largest Leukemia Cup Regatta in the nation. In an effort to help grow the Savannah Leukemia Cup Regatta, we are doubling down on this year, as we will also be hosting the Leukemia Cup Regatta for the PHRF (larger sailboat) fleet on October 16th and 17th at SYC. For nearly 33 years, participants have been sailing communities throughout the country in support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through fundraising efforts. The Leukemia Cup and Firecracker regatta is posted on the LLS website and Regatta Network where you can sign up.
