Class size is limited CLASS DESCRIPTIONS: ...(1) EXPLORING SAILING (OPPIs): For all new to sailing and not versed in racing, this class explores the art of sailing through hands on experiences with a focus on developing a love for the lifelong sport of sailing. Youth sailors will become familiar with rigging the sailboat, points of sail, wind direction and water safety. This class is for beginners and returning sailors that want a refresh or missed a session or more last season. Ages 8 - 11 Time: 1p-4:30p ...(2) EXPLORING GREEN FLEET: Newer sailors that wish to hone their skipper skills. This class builds on the basics previously learned. Perfect for returning sailors. Prerequisite: Must have sailed previously sailed with DYSA or have sailing experience. Time 9a-12p ...(3) GREEN FLEET SKIPPERS (IODs): Emphasis on the racing rules of sailing.
