Sailors, ages 10-17, will come to HSA to practice sailing skills every Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM, from Sept. 16, 2023 - Dec. 16, 2023. In Fall 2023, this team will practice and race in local regattas. HSA hosts twice monthly fun races (1st & 3rd Sundays). We want the race team sailors to participate in those. HSA will also host the 2nd Annual Pink Ribbon regatta in October, with a special youth course. They will also host a regatta in November, the Turkey Trot. Sailors will compete in these local events to build skills. We expect that coaches and sailors will be working well together through this transition period of HYS, and we plan to have our Spring race team ready to begin traveling the state to compete in monthly regattas. The competition is great, but more importantly, regattas build and reinforce skills practiced weekly. No one gets better at sailing without a lot of practice and time on the water. They'll be sailing, sailing, sailing!!! We're very glad you're joining the team!!! Cost is $300 - payable in full or in monthly installments. Scholarships are not currently available.
