Ever wanted to learn how to sail? Or improve your sailing abilities? Riverton Yacht Club invites you to come learn a skill that will last a lifetime! Riverton Yacht Club (RYC) offers three adult sessions during the summer on the historic Delaware River. Riverton Yacht Club’s Adult Sailing Program is designed for adults who have little to no knowledge about sailing and for those adult sailors that would like to advance and refine their sailing skills.
Qualified sailing instructors will teach all daily lessons. Classes will combine both classroom instruction on land and practical experiences on the water to reinforce the lessons. Boating safety, teamwork, rigging/derigging, sailing theory, points of sail, boat handling, and knot tying are some of the topics that will be learned.
Don’t pass up this excellent opportunity to learn, and/or improve sailing skills. Many students have gone on to make sailing a lifelong activity; becoming part of a vibrant sailing community.
* In the event a session has to be canceled due to weather, the expected make-up sessions are detailed below (subject to change):
Monday night make up session = Thursday night of the same week as the missed session
Tuesday session make up session = Tuesday night of the following week
Wednesday session make up session = Wednesday night of the following week;
* $25 non-refundable cancellation fee.
