John Larson’s daughter and widow, CIYC Jr Staff Commodore, Deborah (Larson) Tyhurst, and Betty Larson, have hosted his memorial race since 2008 and always assure that the competitors enjoy a few of John’s favorites – sailing, rum, and chocolate chip cookies! Deborah will provide a Skipper’s Bag for each boat and lead a toast to John when the boats have congregated in the starting area at approximately 1120. This will be a Pursuit Race (‘reverse start’) with scoring and start times based on PHRF boat ratings and the course distance.
