Hobie Class Association of North America, HCA Division 2 and Hobie Fleet 51 cordially invite you to attend the 2026

Wave North American Championship on October 4-9 2026 ar Cottonwood Cove, Lake Mohave, Nevada.   

RULES: The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)
ORGANIZING AUTHORITY: HCA Division 2, Hobie Fleet 51 & HCANA
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY: The regatta is open to all class legal Hobie Waves. HCANA Membership required.
SCHEDULE: Event check-in 10/4 from 1200 to 1800. & 10/5 from 0800 to 1000 with first signal @ 1200. 4 days of racing (10/5-10/6 & 10/8 10/9).
First signal every day @ 1200 No races will be held past 1700 unless notified by RC, see notice board. Plan to race 3 to 5 races per day.
REGISTRATION FEES: Pre register $300.00 / after 8/1 Late registration 350.00. On-site Registration will be Available @ 375.00. No refund after 10/1.
SOCIAL SCHEDULE: Sun 10/4 - Welcome Party, Tue 10/6 - Social Gathering, Wed10/7 - off day, Fri, 10/9 - Awards Banquet.
MEASUREMENT: Boats will not be weighed at this event. Competitors are responsible for ensuring their equipment is class legal.
Skippers will be weighed in accordance with the class rules at check-in. During the com petition, any boat may be subject to inspection.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: The sailing instructions will be available at registration and on regatta network prior to the event.
VENUE: On Lake Mojave based out of Cottonwood Cove Marina. 25$ lake entry fee for vehicles, Hobie cats and non moterized boats are free.
TRANSPORTATION: Party bus from Las Vegas. Limited spots available. Contact orginizer for more informaiton.
INSURANCE: Each boat must show proof of $100,000 USD liability insurance at check in.
AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES: AIS registration required at time of registration, stickers provided. Out of state AIS registration stickers accepted.
HOST RESORT: Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina. See attached Accommodation flyer for RV, Camping, House boat and Hotel reservations.

Hotel Room Reservations – Rooms with views. Starting at 150$ per night
RV: full hookup sites. 72 spaces 40$ per night
Lower Campground: Tent and non-hookup RV camp sites. 30 spaces 20$ per night
House Boats: House boats starting at 450$ p/n with small boat rental included.

Small Convenience store, Denny’s, Roadhouse Casino and McDonalds located 30 minutes in Searchlight, Nevada.
We will have fleet members coming from Las Vegas every morning. See organizers to request pickup of any items needed while the event is in progress.
