    AMENDMENT No. 1

    to

    NOTICE OF RACE

     

    Section 3.0  ELIGIBILITY is hereby entirely deleted, and the following is substituted:

    3.0 ELIGIBILITY – Eligibility is open to all monohull boats.  Please refer to Section 4.0 ENTRY.

     3.1.        Boats Entering to sail both days of racing must have a valid 2010 PHRF SEF Rating Certificate.  Application forms for a valid certificate may be downloaded from www.phrfsef.com. PHRF Rating APPLICATIONS must be received no later than Monday November 15th

    3.2       Boats Entering to sail only in Sunday’s distance race that have a valid 2010 PHRF SEF Rating Certificate will sail in PHRF 1 or PHRF 2, as per the class splits (See Section 3.3, below). 

              Boats Entering to sail on in Sunday’s distance race that do not have a valid Rating Certificate will sail as an ARC (Assigned Rating Class).  A rating will be assigned at no additional cost for boats without a valid Rating.  Contact Regatta Chairman Russ Horn, 954-224-5418 or rhorn@mhs.net, to be assigned a rating.  Boats racing in ARC will have their own start in Sunday’s race.

    3.3       The Race Committee will post the class splits on the Regatta Website and on the Race Bulletin Board at CGSC after registration closes.  Class splits will be determined by the number of entries and will be determined by the CGSC Race Committee and PHRF SEF following registration close.

     

    Section 8.0 SCORING is hereby entirely deleted, and the following is substituted:

    8.0 SCORING - The Low Point System of RRS Appendix A will apply, except as provided below. All scores will count. Scoring ties will be broken in accordance with RRS A8RRS 8.2 is changed to “if an unbreakable tie still remains for two or more boats, the tie will be broken on the sum of their combined corrected times for the regatta.  If there is a tie in the combined corrected time, the tie will be broken in accordance with RRS A8.2.” See Section 10.0 AWARDS for scoring of the PHRF SEF Overall Championship.
