This summer’s NC Governor’s Cup Regatta is the 55th to be hosted by the Carolina Sailing Club. It takes place off Henderson Point at the Kerr Lake State Recreation Area near Townsville, NC. Invited one-design centerboard and catamaran classes include, but are not limited to, Buccaneer, Flying Scot, Isotope, 420, Laser, Lightning, 505, Tanzer 16, Thistle, and Jet 14. Four boats registered in a given class will guarantee scoring and a trophy for the class. Classes of fewer than four boats will compete in an Open Monohull or Open Multihull Class. The Governor's Cup is awarded to the skipper with having the best average score in the overall regatta based on the NC Governor's Cup high point scoring system.
