2014 logo4th Annual TMCA Spring Fling 2014, Pleasure Island

Texas Mariners Cruising Association and the Port Arthur Yacht Club, in conjunction with the Pleasure Island Commission, invite you to the 4th Annual Spring Fling.  This year's event we will be heading to Port Arthur, Texas and the beautiful Pleasure Island Marina Friday, May 16th through Sunday, May 18th, 2014.  Pleasure Island has been rebuilt since Hurricane Ike and offers beautiful floating docks with 30 and 50 amp electrical and water.


Boat registration is $130, and includes:

  • 2 nights boat slip, including power and electricity
  • 2 entrance passes into Spring Fling for the weekend including exhibits and educational sessions
  • The opportunity to shoot off expired flares in a controlled environment.
  • Complimentary safety boat inspection by the Galveston Bay Power Squadron (must sign up for this event)
  • Live Music Friday and Saturday night!

Additional nights for boat slip may be purchased for $15/night.

Additional wrist bands for Spring Fling admittance may be purchased online, as well as meal tickets, t-shirts, burgees, and caps.

Please note:  ALL crew members (including the additional wrist band included in boat registration), must register online and agree to the event waiver.  It's free, click the Crew link.

New this year:  Sign up by April 1.  Boat names of all those who register early will have their boat name on the 2014 Spring Fling T-Shirt!

Skipper's Meeting is on Saturday, May 3, 9 am until noon, at the Elks Lodge, 623 Hanson Rd, Kemah, TX (west of the Home Depot).  This is where you'll receive your boat space assignment, wristbands, purchase merchandise, and receive aids in navigation to Pleasure Island Marina.
