The 2014 Rocky Mountain Shootout/Hornblower Regatta, one of the area's most exciting spring season open events, is on the horizon. Cherry Creek Reservoir, the race venue, is again filled to planned recreational level, and is expected to remain so for the remainder of the year. Races will be managed by well trained and experienced Race Officers on multiple courses. The Shootout Regatta is open to self-righting (keelboat) class boats. Anticipated keelboat classes include J/24; J/22; U20; Santana-20 and at least one PHRF class. The Hornblower Regatta is open to non-self-righting (dinghy) class boats. Anticipated classes include: Lightning, Snipe, Buccaneer, Catamaran and Laser, and at least one Portsmouth class.
