5/21/14 UPDATE:

Dear 2014 Roberts Race Participants,

Due to the recent extreme weather experienced in North East Ohio, and the flooding of the Rocky River, the Cleveland Yachting Club will have to postpone the sailing of the 2014 Roberts Race.  The race was originally scheduled to start the evening of Friday, May 30.  We will be moving the regatta to start on the evening of Friday, July 25th.  We will additionally be extending the deadline to register until July 15th, 2014.  We apologize for the late notice, but unfortunately due to the damage sustained by the flooding Rocky River there is no feasible way that the race can be run as originally planned.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Clinton Preslan at clinton.preslan@gmail.com we hope to see all of you on July 25th! 

F W ROBERTS TROPHY RACE The F W Roberts Trophy was hand-gifted by Commodore F. W. Roberts to the Cleveland Yachting Club in 1930 and is awarded to the winner of the PHRF fleet in the annual race. The race has been run in several formats, most recently from Cleveland to Huron and back. F W ROBERTS MEMORIAL CHALLENGE The F W Roberts Memorial, which was gifted to the Cleveland Yachting Club in memoriam of the late F. W. Roberts, has been awarded to the winner of the auxiliary fleet in the race.
