About Event

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. - Every threer minutes, someone in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Every ten minutes someone dies from these cancers. - Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20. - An estimated 1.129,813 people in the US are living with, or are in remission from, leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, NHL, or myeloma - The five-year relative survival rate for patients with Hodgkin lym-phoma has more than doubled from 40% between 1960 and 1963, to almost 87.6% between 2003 and 2009. The five-year survival rate for NHL patients rose from 31% between 1960 and 1963; to just over 71.2% between 2003and 2009.
