Summer Programs - Schedule

Beginning Sailors & Parents – Orientation Meetings
The following orientation sessions are held in the Clubhouse of the Venice Yacht Club at 9:00 am. All beginning sailors and their parents are requested to attend one of the sessions before the start date of their registered classes.

An orientation for all beginning Optis and all beginning 420 sailors provides us the opportunity to introduce ourselves and meet with both the young sailors and the parents. Each session lasts about an hour, and there is ample time for any questions. We provide a brief overview of what will occur during the classes and what each sailor needs to bring to the classes.

Opti Beginning Sailing, Ages 9 – 14 in Optis. The tuition is $300 per sailor.

• Session 1: Monday, June 8 – Friday, June 19 (9 am – 12 noon OR 1 pm – 4 pm)
• Session 2: Monday, June 22 – Friday, July 3 (9 am – 12 noon OR 1 pm – 4 pm)
• Session 3: Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 17 (9 am – 12 noon)
• Session 4: Monday, July 20 – Friday, July 31 (9 am – 12 noon OR 1 pm – 4 pm)

Opti Intermediate Sailing, Ages 9 – 14 in Optis. The tuition is $300 per sailor.

• Session 1: Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 17 (1 pm – 4 pm)
• Session 2: Monday, August 3 – Friday, August 14 (9 am – 12 noon OR 1 pm – 4 pm)

• Session 2: Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3 (10 am – 5 pm daily )
• Session 3:) Monday, July 27 – Friday, July 31 (10 am – 5 pm daily)
• Session 4: Monday, August 10 – Friday, August 14 (10 am – 5 pm daily)

420 Intermediate Sailing, Age 13+ in Club 420s. The tuition is $300/sailor.

• Session 1: Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17 (10 am – 5 pm daily)
• Session 2: Monday, August 17 – Friday, August 21 (10 am – 5 pm daily)
