NOTICE: Charter reservation/security deposit of $500.00 due no later then May 15, 2006. Charter fee must be paid by July 6th. $2500.00
JboatsSouthwest, your Texas based Jboat dealer and Jboats will be providing five new J80 Sailboats for charter at the 2006 J80 Worlds in Corpus Christi. We want your charter experience in Texas to be easy and well done to make your week on the water the best it can possibly be.
Once we receive these new boats we will have them measured in to make them legal for class racing. We will also inspect the hulls and foils and do what is necessary to make sure they are race ready. We will rig the boat and supply all class required equipment. You as the charterer need to do the following:
- Submit your $500.00 US security deposit via the J80 Worlds website to secure one of these five boats. This deposit will be credited back to your credit card at the conclusion of the Worlds-provided the boat is returned undamaged. We will reserve the boats in order of the deposits received.
- Download the charter agreement from the website, fill it out and e-mail to me at

. Do this at the same time that you are submitting your security deposit
- The $2500.00 US set up fee includes all transportation, rigging, and launching charges. It also includes the insurance. In the past this has been a separate expense. The deadline for this payment is July 6, 2006.
- You will need to bring your sails, TacTick(or other class legal instrumentation), life jackets and a GPS or trail behind knotmeter. As these boats are new and will be for sale immediately after the worlds no thru hulls will be drilled into the hulls.
Its going to be a great sailing venue. I hope that you can make it and I look forward to helping you with your charter. If you plan on chartering please e-mail me and let me know so I can keep a running total of boats that we need. If we require boats beyond the 5 new boats I will get boats from local owners that are not participating in the worlds. Please feel free to contact me at:
