Haven’t sailed in a few years but used to be very competitive. Don’t care what you need me to do. I can just be rail meat and get crew drinks. I’ll bring my own beer. I’m in town till the end of May and would love to get back on the water.

I am an experienced one design and PHRF racer who crews on a PHRF boat many weekends in the Lower Bay. I have raced my Flying Scot mid-week many years out of Annapolis, but Annapolis no longer a viable mid-week commute. Looking to find a crew opportunity with DISC. I am also a certified PRO and Race Officer, so can help with Race Committee. I live walking distance to the club so can be there as a substitute in no time. Hoping to get a regular ride on Tuesdays or help with RC.

Looking to get back in the game. Been out a few years but have raced with DISC in past as crew of the infamous Aries for ten+ years (the cradle is named after the original skipper, Dave), and then as captain of that wonderful Catalina 27 in the spinnaker div. Open to crewing on Tuesdays and occasional weekend adventure and happy to serve where ever is needed. Drop me a note at rzoni@hotmail.com . Can usually be ready to jump in within a short notice as needs arise.

I typically sail out of Annapolis, but looking for a closer spot to race from. Really only looking for a spinnaker boat. Experience on everything from a Laser beer cans to a 37' Blue water racing.

LUV to Sail and Enjoy Team FUN I have raced, cruised, and delivered sailboats almost all of my life. I have been trained on boat handling and the major evolutions such as tacks, spin sets, jibes, takedowns, mark rounding, starting line maneuvers, straight line boat speed and sail trim. I have some experience on blue water (Caribbean, Atlantic, and South Pacific Oceans), river (Potomac including an intimate knowledge of water depth on the Potomac near DC), Magothy, West, Severn), sound (Long Island), bay (Chesapeake) and lake (the Great Lakes, Lake George) etc., on everything from schooners to sloops and in sizes up to a 54 foot catamaran. My favorite race was the Trans Superior, where the lake has its own weather system and the water warms up to a sweltering 39 degrees Fahrenheit in August. But I must say that the Auroras Borealis at night was breathtaking. (I did take a brief dip in Lake Superior but at the lake’s edge where the sun actually warmed the 5 feet of water depth not near the average 1300 foot depth.) My favorite position is at the helm where my team skills shine, but I understand that many boat owners may reserve this for themselves. So, for the joy of being out on the water, I can handle the main, spinnaker, or foresails if needed. If interested, please call or text Gila at 571 989-1102. Feel free to leave a message. (I prefer text to email.)

I have crewed on keelboats several times a year since 2021 on Bay and Potomac, for Arcas with DISC and various yachts for SCOW skippers. Am a Flying Scot skipper and owner, used to helming and spinnaker, recreational racing. Have crewed a few times for PRSA on Lightnings and Albacores in Sunday racing. Learned as a teenager on various 14 ft dinghies in Scotland and England. I do need at least one hour's notice, since I live in Haymarket VA, 60-75 minutes' drive west of WSM -- but have sailed with DISC at short notice.
