I'm new to sailing but am willing to shut up and learn! I fully volunteer for whatever position you may need a body for. Me and my wife are living in Bakersfield and are engineers in the oil and gas industry. We want to quit our jobs next year and cruise the Caribbean and SA in a catamaran so we are looking to get out on the water and at least get some sailing basics. I read racing is the best way to learn fast! If you have an opening for two that would be best but even if it's only for one let me know! Able bodied and a quick learner. I'm also a mechanical engineer so I can maybe fix some stuff.

Hi there - I'm a kiwi (New Zealander) in LA for a few days and would love to get out on the water on Wed 5 July. What better way to experience a new city?! Experienced trimmer on predominantly 30-40ft'ers. Have been sailing in the Auckland twilights past year, in Perth the season before that. Can bring wine and nibbles to share and if there's room for my partner as ballast too that would be brilliant, but he's happy to go surfing as an alternative. I've sailed a range of boats, classic and modern, and just stoked to be out on the water more than anything so if anyone's stuck for crew please send me an email phoebe.gr@gmail.com - late notice is fine! Cheers, Phoebe

Hi, New to the club, love the idea of being part of a race team. There is two of us my wife and myself. I have very limited sailing experience, none of it in racing. She has no experience. We are both taking classes currently at the club. We are willing to be rail meat and bring beer. We are available starting July 12th. If you only need one person that is fine as well but hoping to share the experience as a couple if we can.
Regards,
Bill

Hello - I'm new to sailing and looking to help crew on a boat and do whatever is needed to gain some experience. I love the water and my family and I are looking at doing some long term cruising in the future. My sailing experience has been limited to some time on a 39' Beneteau on Lake Michigan a decade ago. Would love to help out and meet new people.

I'm a racing sailor from Chicago (and a member of Chicago Yacht Club) who will be in the LA area for work off and on for the next few months. I'm looking for a boat to tag along with while I'm in the area. I co-own a Beneteau 36.7 which I skipper. I can do basically any position but prefer helm, bow, jib, or main. I've raced in 6 Chicago-Mackinac races (2 of which I skippered), 8 NOOD and Verve regattas (2 of which I skippered) and countless smaller regattas. Whether you're going out for a cruise or are in need of a hand for a race I would love to get out on the water. Shoot me an email at nnorris7413@gmail.com. Thanks!

I'm a mainsail trimmer on Hot Ticket, a Schumacher 32.8' aka 'Synergy 1000' racing sailboat out of Newport Beach. I work in Culver City and would love to crew for a racing sailboat in Marina Del Rey for the Sunset Series on Wednesdays. My preference is with Class A and Class B sailboats as I love fast performance racing sailboats. I am 10-15 minutes from the office in CC to the dock in MDR. I can do mainsail trimming, jib trimming, kite trimming, jump the halyards, pit crew, railmeat, or any other positions needed. I'm also quite handy with flaking the mainsail and jib.

I'm new to LA and am looking to crew for folks racing or just wanting extra pair of hands on deck for cruising. I've crewed on overnight sails in Puget Sound and day trips in SF Bay. I'm not a formally trained sailor but I work hard, listen well and play well with others:)

Hi--LOOKING TO CREW--
I have raced on bigger 38-44' boats primarily, mostly out of San Pedro & Long Beach, though I am a smaller woman...5'1" 122 lbs. but very agile and fairly strong for my size...
I can do pit, mast on a bit smaller boat, would take a bit of training to do foredeck. I am not able to commit to the series due to my freelance work schedule, I am available this WED. June 15th. and am open and flexible to your needs.
Much thanks,
Wendy Greiner
