Hello everyone! My name is Marlee Berlan and I’m a young professional who recently moved to the DC area to work in higher ed from Cleveland, OH. I spent my summers in Cleveland racing on j120s and j105s and would love the opportunity to get out on the water here in DC. I’ve also sailed on 420s and thistles but it has been a while and I could use a refresh! I’m really looking to expand my knowledge and gain some more crew experience this season. I enjoyed my time at my old club building my sailing skills and forming friendships with other members. I’m hoping to do the same this season as a committed crew member at DISC! Hi! My name is Jack Ryan, a young professional living in DC. Having not been able to get out on the water last year I’m looking to change that with a fun and competitive summer this 2023. Growing up I raced Opti, Club 420, and Laser in Junior Inter-Lake Yachting Association regattas held on Lake Erie. In addition to one design racing, for years I raced summer main and jib series’ on my family’s Catalina 30 and later doing bow on a J109 until graduating high school.
