I am 43 years old, young and fit. I have participated in the Harvest Moon 8 times, my first one was in 1999, and I have 30 years of sailing experience. I own a Catalina 42 that I entered the last 2 years, but am not entering it this year. I own a late night restaurant, and so am habitually awake and alert between the hours of 8pm and 8am, which I have found comes in handy when navigating the unlit platforms after the moon sets, or if an early morning squall comes in.
