Docking just North of the Quality Inn Posted on Apr 30, 2024 14:40 EST |
We received this very kind offer from the Robert and Beverly Morgan regarding docking in Palatka:
"We own the large boathouse and smaller dock to the north of the Quality Inn and Memorial Bridge - at your starting point. Should anyone need a place to tie up their boat and/or park their car, please be comfortable using our place. Plenty of water - 5 to 18 feet with deep access. My wife Beverly and I have been sailing 60 years and enjoy the company of fellow sailors. Text 386 222 8525."

Friday shuttle bus Posted on Apr 30, 2024 14:39 EST |
The Friday bus has sold out. In the past, we have found that Ubers are reasonably priced, about equivalent to what you would pay for bus tickets for a group of 3 or more.

Docking at Crystal Cove Marina Posted on Mar 18, 2024 09:19 EST |
As of Monday March 18, the manager at Crystal Cove Marina tells me they have a small amount of transient dock space. They will make it available to Mug Racers for $10 on Friday night before the race. Call to check availability 386 328 4000. BTW, if you have an emergency and need to pull out of the water on race day, they will waive all ramp fees. Thank you, Crystal Cove!

Quality Inn Posted on Mar 18, 2024 09:14 EST |
As of Monday March 18, the manager at the Quality Inn (386 328 3481) tells me they still have plenty of rooms at the discounted Mug Race rate. If you want to stay there and haven't booked a room, be sure you say 'Mug Race' when you make the reservation. If you already booked and didn't say Mug Race, call them and they can arrange to apply the discount. Their dock is free to hotel guests, first come first serve.
