The 4th race of the Commodores' Cup Series brought the fleet to Portsmouth YC for the annual river start/finish pursuit race. 2025's version brought some of the best weather of the year with a steady east southeast moderate breeze. Also on hand, foul current at both ends. A long course to Appledore Island and back, pretty much a real windward/leeward, was set for all classes. The steady southeast breeze helped deal with the tides. PYC put on their usual great post race party with BBQ, the traditional Mowers' chowder, and even brownie sundaes for dessert. Only 16 yachts started and finished - out of 30 registered. The missing 14 missed a great one!
