Finally a bit of summer! The models called for SSE veering SW at around 11 knots. By 16:30 the breeze was already SW. Weather marks were set and it went hard WSW and lightened. RC prepared for a start / finish further offshore. Breeze died and then came back where it started. First Warning was on time in light air and fairly flat seas. During the start the shift went back a bit right causing a real mess at the boat end, collisions barely avoided. During the bargathon there were a few boats further down the line with Poetry forced OCS and finding it difficult to restart as the fleet converged. 13 of 18 showed for the first start, 5 of 10 for the second.
