A big westerly, really a WSW, was on hand blowing as much as 20 at race time with flat water - really the best of conditions. We were due. A few put in reefs, most set #3 or #4 jibs. Even a broach at the start line! The breeze held the first race, a long Windward Leeward twice around, and lightened for the second with reefs shaken out and jibs changed to the #1s. Only Racing A going around twice. First Tuesday this season with yachts heading home after sunset. 21 yachts raced.
