RC committee set a windward leeward course with 2 windward marks. Initial breeze was a southerly that veered to a 240ish direction just prior to start with a 7-10 kts and a 2-2 1/2 ft swell. A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect to the south of the Isle of Shoals. Start line stayed square for a 3 class rolling start. “A” fleet sailed 2 laps around the furtherest orange mark (1.05 nm). “B” fleet sailed 1 lap to the orange mark and 1 lap to the yellow mark (0.77 nm). “C” fleet and cruising class sailed 2 laps around the yellow mark. Spinaker douses by the leeward mark were exciting. Thankfully Susan Follensbee was able to catch most of the action on digital. An album link will be sent to the membership.
