Crazy - Small craft warnings in the morning, models at odds with breeze direction and velocity, White Island showing 0 wind. RC chased what might work first setting WSW inside on top of a nasty eddy - then SSE outside, nope. Start / Finish pin set to what amounted to a partial Olympic Circle, ready for the fill. Wrong again. RC still looking, noticed the Fleet sailing on a NNE fill, boats heeled over, kites drawing. RC ran over filling another mark on the way. Partway noticed breeze goes hard left, NNW. Fleet still NNE, (stopped filling that mark.) That NNW from the river steadied, RC went old school - 2KR weather mark. Worked, got two 1.5nm W/L in. 13 boats showed, all finished. PROTEST ANNOUNCED: Blue Scoop protesting Matrix in the first race.
