Please accept the waiver and release form below. Per the Notice of Race, "Crew lists and waivers of liability must be submitted at registration. No boat will be registered without a completed waiver form."

"The registration fees are a one time fee that allows for racing in the series or less than three of the Commodore's Cup Series qualifing Regattas"

The undersigned intends to participate in sailing races and other related events sponsored or supported by PSA & KPYC.

For good and valuable consideration, including being permitted to participate in the Commodores Cup Summer Series 2024, the undersigned for myself, successors, heirs, and assigns herby waives, releases and discharges any claims, causes of action or any type of demand whatsoever against KPYC, PSA, and any KPYC / PSA sponsors, their respective officers, directors, agents, volunteers, or employees, that the undersigned may have or in the future may have against KPYC, PSA, and any KPYC / PSA sponsors, participating yachts clubs or their respective officers, directors, agents, volunteers, or employees, for any bodily injury or death suffered by the undersigned of for any damage to any boat or other property arising out of my involvement in the KPYC Regatta or training there for and any other related activities sponsored by KPYC / PSA or any of the sponsors, in connection with the conduct and organization of the Regatta. That I am in good health and have no physical condition that would prevent me from participating in this event.

I hereby release Kittery Point Yacht Club and Piscataqua Sailing Association, all officers, all employees, race organizers, race officials, and race sponsors (Portsmouth Yacht Club, Little Harbor Yacht Club, Great Bay Yacht Club, Navy Yard Yacht Club, and participating sponsors) and persons acting in good faith in any rescue efforts from: all claims of damages, liabilities, demands, actions, and causes of actions arising out of my participation in this event.

The undersigned acknowledges that participation in the sport of sailing or in the regatta involves substantial risk of personal injury or even death, and the undersigned hereby assumes the risk of any such injury to his or her body arising while practicing for or participating in said KPYC John Paul Jones Overnight Regatta, and forever gives up and relinquishes any claim for liability against PSA and participating Yacht clubs and Sponsors, their respective officers, directors, agents, volunteers, or employees, that I may have by reason of participation in the above event.

This document may have serious consequences in the event of any injury to the undersigned, and one should feel free to consult a lawyer concerning its limitations before signing the release.
