  • Acceptance of Rules and Waiver of Claims: By submitting the Entry Fee each boat owner or skipper agrees and acknowledges that, in consideration of allowing the Registered Boat to race and compete in the Regatta, the Registered Boat, and the competitors that race her, shall abide by and be bound by The Racing Rules of Sailing, as issued by the International Sailing Federation, and the Prescriptions of US Sailing, unless specifically changed or exempted by the published Sailing Instructions in effect at the time of the individual regatta. THE OWNER OR SKIPPER ALSO DOES, BY SUBMITTING THE REGISTRATION FEE, WAIVE, RELEASE, AND CANCEL ANY AND ALL CLAIMS WHICH  HE OR SHE MAY OR THEREAFTER HAVE AGAINST THE USJCA, OR IT’S OFFICERS OR GOVERNORS (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE DISTRICT 1 GOVERNOR), THE RACE ADMINISTRATORS, ORGANIZING AND HOST AUTHORITIES, AND ANY COMMITTEE PERSONS, WHICH DO OR DOES ARISE OUT OF THE OWNER OR SKIPPER’S PARTICIPATION OR UNDERTAKING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SERIES, EXCEPT FOR ACTS WHICH ARE NOT RELATED TO OR NECESSARY FOR THIS SERIES. The owner or skipper agrees to obtain and maintain appropriate liability insurance for damage or injury caused by the actions or negligence of the owner or skipper or the Registered Boat. • I support NFYC’s efforts to help prevent the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) and agree to comply with pertinent State regulations. I understand that vessels traveling from outside the Flathead River Basin will be required to document AIS Inspection Clearance prior to use of NFYC launch and dock facilities and/or participation in the regatta. For questions, please refer to: https://fwp.mt.gov/conservation/aquatic-invasive-species .

  • Eligibility: This competition is open to all J/24 Class yachts as defined by the International J/24 Class Association. All boats must provide proof of $300,000 in liability insurance. Helmsmen must be members of the International J/24 Class Association. All boats wishing to qualify for the District 19 championship trophy must have a valid Measurement Certificate and complete a liability waiver.

  • Inspections: The race committee may inspect boats at random for compliance with IJCA class rules and provide current/valid measurement certificate.

  • Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Requirement:

If you are transporting a boat from out of the area please ensure that it is thoroughly cleaned, drained and dried, and be sure to stop at ALL watercraft check stations. Due to the heightened threat of Aquatic Invasive Species(AIS), visitors must now document AIS inspection clearance as a prerequisite for Regatta Eligibility and use of NFYC launch and dock facilities. DO NOT LAUNCH prior to showing proof of clearance. Upon your arrival, please check in with Port Captain or his representative, for slip assignments. You may then be directed toward Registration, the mast lift, the trailer extension, and an appropriate launch ramp.

  • I agree to be bound by The Racing Rules of Sailing and all other rules that govern this event. I agree to hold the officers, employees and members of the organizing authority, and regatta sponsors, harmless from any liability related to this event.

I agree to the above:
