Waiver & release of all claims and assumptions of risk for use of Sarasota County Property
by participants in the Englewood Sailing Association’s Lemon Drop Regatta

Please read this form carefully. By signing this form and/or using County property to participate in the Lemon Drop Regatta, you will be expressly assuming the risk & legal liability, and waiving & releasing all claims for injuries, damages, or loss which you might sustain as a result of participating in, connected with, and/or associated with this regatta on Sarasota County property.
• I agree that health & safety guidelines currently in effect may require that I and/or my child(ren) will comply with social distancing policies which may include among other things, the use of personal protection such as buffs or masks when on land, and follow procedures requested while participating in the Lemon Drop Regatta.
• I agree to wear a US Coast Guard approved life jacket while participating in any activity associated with the regatta.
• I convey permission to publish my or my child(ren)’s photograph or likeness in media to include but not be limited to newspapers, videos, drone footage, &/or photography.
• The participant in the Lemon Drop Regatta is Captain of his/her vessel during the activity.
• I recognize and acknowledge there may be certain risks involved in participating in this type of activity and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any injury, damage or loss that I and/or my child(ren) may sustain as a result of participation in the regatta.
• I further agree to waive and relinquish all claims I may have or that may accrue to me and/or my child(ren) by participating in such activity, or from using such property against Sarasota County, including their respective officials, officers, employees, and volunteers and the Englewood Sailing Association and its volunteers (collectively referred to as “Parties”). I do hereby fully release and forever discharge the Parties from any and all claims for injuries, damages or loss that I and/or my child(ren) may have or may accrue to me and/or my child(ren) and arising out of connection with, or in any way associated with, the use of County property for participation in the Lemond Drop Regatta.
I indemnify and hold harmless Sarasota County and Englewood Sailing Association, any of its employees or agents or volunteers from any & all claims from my and/or my child(ren)’s use of County property. I have read and fully understand the above important information, warning of risk, assumption of risk and waiver and release of all claims.
