ESC 2026 Home School Sessions

Our curriculum is based on US Sailing’s small boat program (Learn Sailing Right). Families are encouraged to read about our courses on the website or call for more information.

After reviewing the description and age range for each program, families may select one or more programs:

ESC is a 501c3 corporation not for profit and is a registered Charitable Organization in the State of Florida.

EDISON SAILING CENTER (rev 2024)

Waiver & release of all claims and assumptions of risk for use of Lee County Property
by participants in Edison Sailing Center activities

Please read this form carefully. By signing this form &/or using County property to participate in Edison Sailing Center activities, you will be expressly assuming the risk & legal liability, and waiving & releasing all claims for injuries, damages, or loss which you might sustain as a result of participating in, connected with, &/or associated with this type of activity on County-owned property.

I agree that health & safety guidelines currently in effect may require that I &/or my child(-ren) will comply with current County health policies and follow procedures requested while participating in Edison Sailing Center activities.

I agree to wear a US Coast Guard approved life jacket. (This is a basic safety precaution and is required). Refusal or removal of the life jacket while participating in any activity may result in discontinuation of the activity(ies).

I convey permission to publish my or my child(ren)’s photograph or likeness in media to include but not be limited to newspapers, videos, drone footage, &/or photography.

The participant in any Edison Sailing Center activity is Captain of his/her vessel during the activity.

I recognize and acknowledge there may be certain risks involved in participating in this type of activity and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any injury, damage or loss that I &/or my child(ren) may sustain as a result of participation in such activity on County-owned property.

I further agree to waive & relinquish all claims I may have or that may accrue to me &/or my child(ren) by participating in such activity, or from using such property against the County, including their respective officials, officers, employees, & volunteers (collectively referred to as “Parties”). I do hereby fully release & forever discharge the Parties from any and all claims for injuries, damages or loss that I &/or my child(ren) may have or may accrue to me &/or my child(ren) and arising out of connection with, or in any way associated with, the use of County property for participation in Edison Sailing Center events and classes.

I indemnify and hold harmless Lee County, any of its employees or agents from any & all claims from my &/or my child(ren)’s use of County property. I have read and fully understand the above important information, warning of risk, assumption of risk and waiver & release of all claims.
