I understand that sailing is a water sport and therefore subject to hazards and injuries pertaining to but not limited to elements of weather, water, and boating. I fully understand that these risks can lead to damage to personal property, personal injury, illness, paralysis, permanent disability, and death. Despite the potential hazards and dangers associated with the activity of sailing, I voluntarily agree for registrant to participate in the sailing activity and hereby accept and assume all such risks, known and unknown, and assume all responsibility for the losses, costs, and/or damages following such injury, disability, paralysis, or death, even if caused, in whole or part, by negligence of Augusta Sailing Club.

I recognize and understand that participation in the regatta is voluntary, and that participants incur risks by participating, including the possibility of death or injury. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby waive any rights I, my crew, my child or my successors, heirs, and assigns may have to sue the regatta organizers (Augusta Sailing Club, Inc., race committee, protest committee, sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, employees, servants, officers, directors, or any other organization or official hereinafter collectively referred to as ASC) involved with the event with respect to personal injury or property damage suffered by myself or my crew or my child as a result of my or their participation in this event. I hereby release and forever discharge the ASC from any liability for such injury or damage and from all claims, causes of action, or judgments I, my crew or my child may have or claim to have against ASC for all personal injuries, including death, and injuries to property, real or personal, caused by or arising out of any involvement with this event. I further agree for myself, my crew, my child, my successors, heirs, and assigns to indemnify and hold ASC harmless from all claims and suits for personal injuries, including death and any damages to property caused by my or there act or omission arising out of my or there involvement with this event and from all judgments recovered and from all expenses incurred in defending said claims or suits.

I understand that I am responsible for my actions, the actions of my crew or the actions of my child and guests while I or they may be participating in the regatta and on the grounds of the event host, and that I am solely responsible for deciding whether or not I or my crew or my child participates or continues participating in the event. I also agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules that govern this event.

I further agree that photographs, pictures, slides, videotapes, and/or movies taken or made by ASC in connection with my or my child's involvement in this event or any reproduction of the same, as well as my or my child's name, may in any manner be used by ASC, or by any person, corporation, or association authorized by ASC. I acknowledge that the registrant is in good health and has no physical condition that would prevent participation in this event. I have read, understand, and agree to the foregoing release.
