The safety of each yacht and her crew is the sole and inescapable responsibility of the skipper, who must decide whether or not to start or continue to race. The undersigned understands that there are known and unknown dangers and risks inherent in yacht racing and agrees that he or she assumes any and all risks, known or unknown, arising from participation in this regatta and related social functions and expressly assumes the risk of any uninsured loss. The undersigned understands that participants are encouraged, but not required, to carry liability insurance for their vessels. The undersigned agrees that the Geechee Sailing Club, Inc., its board of directors, race committee, PRO. and associated sponsors may not be held liable and agrees not to sue the same, under any circumstances, for death, personal injury, or properly damage arising from participation in this regatta or related social functions, regardless of cause or fault. The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Geechee Sailing Club. Inc., its directors, race committee, PRO, and sponsors for any and all damages to person and/or property, losses, costs, attorney's fees, and liability of any kind or nature whatsoever arising from participation in this regatta and related social functions, including, but not limited to, personal injury and property damage suffered or inflicted by his or her crew and guests.
