IN CONSIDERATION OF acceptance of my entry and of the substantial volunteer efforts of the employees and representatives of the ELKHORN YACHT CLUB [hereinafter referred to as HOST.] THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY:
1. WAIVES AND RELEASES ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, INCLUDING THOSE OF NEGLIGENCE OR EQUIVALENT CONDUCT, WHICH I MAY HAVE AGAINSTTHE HOST, IT'S OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES,REPRESENTATIVES AND/OR ASSOCIATED VOLUNTEERS RESULTING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN RACING THIS EVENT OR ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES RELATED TO OR CONDUCT THEREWITH;
2. Acknowledges my responsibility in participating in this event, for my decision to start or continue to race in this event, and to make certain that my boat, equipment, and crew are seaworthy for the conditions which may be encountered during my participation or the participation of my vessel;
3. Acknowledges that sailing/racing is dangerous and that the undersigned voluntarily participates in this event and knowingly assumes all associated risks of personal injury or harm, including but not limited to damage or loss of life or personal property; and
4. Has carefully read this agreement and fully understands its contents. I voluntarily sign this document and understand that in doing so I release the host and its representatives from liability for any claim of any kind, for any reason, out of or in any way connected with my participation in this event
