About Event

Welcome to The 36th Annual William K. Vanderbilt II Memorial Cup Racepresented by Centerport Yacht Club and the Vanderbilt Museum

The Vanderbilt Cup traditionally includes PHRF Spinnaker & Non-Spinnaker Classes, One-Design (4 or more boats) and Club Class divisions, with time allowances per YRALIS PHRF time-on-distance procedures using distance handicaps. Navigator’s style courses finish in Northport Bay with a glorious view of "Eagle's Nest," Vanderbilt’s stunning Spanish Revival mansion and Gold Coast retreat.

Party Like A Vanderbilt!  Racers and guests are then invited to the Vanderbilt Mansion for the Regatta Party to enjoy food, drinks and live music under the stars in the Spanish courtyard. The event will also include raffles featuring great prizes donated by local businesses, with all raffle proceeds benefitting the Vanderbilt Museum.

The Race Entry Fee ($75.00 US Sailing members, $80.00 non-members) includes admission to the Regatta Party for the Skipper + 4 Crew.  Additional Crew members can join the Party for $15.00 each, and non-sailing Guests are welcome at $20.00 each — please click on View Online Storefront to pay for additional Crew and Guests. Entry Fees are non-refundable.

(Admission to the Regatta Party includes dinner plus two drink tickets per person redeemable for beer or wine. Additional drink tickets will also be available for purchase at the event.)

Good Afternoon Vanderbilt Cup Competitors, While the last few days have felt eerily similar to last year about this time, and we continue under a Gale Warning until 2000 hrs. this evening (09/30/16), the winds are predicted to diminish overnight to 15-20 kts. by morning before diminishing further to 10-15 kts. tomorrow afternoon, according to the latest National Weather Service Marine Forecast for our area. Your Regatta Party fee includes live music by the Just Cause band, dinner and AriZona® beverages, plus two drink tickets per person redeemable for beer or wine. (Additional drink tickets will also be available for purchase at the event.) As always, the Regatta Party will also include raffles with all proceeds to benefit the Vanderbilt Museum, featuring great prizes donated by many area businesses.
