Prove Alameda is an island! Sail the whole way around it! Recent history has this sailed in Lasers, but this year it is open to all sailboats! But beware of the bridges. They are low and will not be opening for you. And beware of the mud. San Leandro Bay has surprises if you haven’t been there before. And to keep it fully scientific (part of the STEM curriculum), you can go either way around the Island! Prior to starting the circumnavigation, we will have a few short windward-lewards in Seaplane Lagoon, part of the old Alameda Naval Air Station.
