Set Sail For a Cause - Competitive Sail : OWSA

About Event

The Oregon Women’s Sailing Association (OWSA) invites all sailors to come out for the annual charity event Set Sail for a Cause. All net proceeds will be used towards educating young females in water-based safety and restoration of the Sea Scouts ship Sunsail. This family-friendly event will be held on September 17th.

The Family Fun Cruise starts on the water at 1pm and the Competitive Sail starts at 2pm. After spending the day on our beloved Columbia River, all participants are invited to meet up for an after party at the Tomahawk Bay Marina - front lawn.

The Competitive Sail invites skippers and their crew to participate in a Regatta. Only the skipper is required to register, and he/she is welcome to invite their crew of choice. Please see Notice of Race for further information.

Not a Racer? The Family Fun Cruise invites sailors and non-sailors to participate in a fun day aboard cruising yachts in our beloved Columbia River. Skippers may allow additional crew on their boat based on space. Any space dedicated to crew allows additional fundraising to support our local Sea Scouts.

Don’t have a boat? Register as crew in the Family Fun Cruise! This is a fantastic opportunity for you to test the waters, and meet the Portland yachting and sailing community. We hope you can join in on the fun!
