    Hi again Race Week Sailors:

The winds played tricks with our minds on thursday night with challenging light air at the beginning and end of the race with fair breeze on the middle two legs of the course.  Race 5 will remembered as the success of A Fleet.  9 out of the top 10 were in the A Fleet.  Did they know something we didn't?

Online results are now posted, and pictures will be posted very shortly.

Chili's brought great appetizers, Chandlers and Budweiser provided ice cold beer, and we even had Massage Envy doing free chair massages.

Thank you to the City of Rockwall for making Thursday night possible.  Their support has helped Dallas Race Week with much more exposure to sailing and rotary.

    ------------------

Tonight is the last night of Dallas Race Week...

The Rib Dinner can still be reserved by contacting the yacht club ph: 972-771-2051 or chandlers_landing@yahoo.com.  We will have music and ice cold beer with the Trophy Presentation, Sponsored by HomeBank@, at approx. 9:30pm.

    ------------------

Several sailors have contributed the Breakfast Rotary Foundation last night and we really appreciate your support to do more in our community.  If you haven't checked out how easy it is, look today at http://www.dallasraceweek.com/contribute_today.

    ------------------

Online Survey for Dallas Race Week - After tonight's racing and when our week long event finally comes to a close, there will be an online survey available at www.dallasraceweek.com for sailors, sponsors, and rotarians to share your thoughts for next year.  We would really appreciate any suggestions or ideas as we look towards the 28th Dallas Race Week.  So again, after tonight, come back to the site to fill out the quick survey.

    ------------------

Race 6 will be the same loop course starting and finishing from the Chandlers Landing Jetty.

Thank you for being a part of this year's race.

    Hi Race Week Sailors,

Lots of changes in the standings last night with many different boats in the lead heading into the Harbor Finish Line.  The winds were perfect and provided for another fantastic race #4.

Top finishers were Dan Malak (Orion), Mike Jones (Wings), and Greg Olsen.  Dan Malak is currently winning the regatta with a total of only 6 points.  With only 2 more races to go, many boats will be gunning for the top spot.   Nice job to Dan and his crew!

    -----------------

The Hilton Bella Harbor underwrote the entire party last night on the outside patio with out-of-this-world food, great wine, and ice cold beer.  One of the best ways to gauge the success of a party is to see when everyone leaves to go home.   The patio was still packed well past 10pm.

As the Presenting Sponsor of the 27th Dallas Race Week, the Hilton Bella Harbor truly deserves our thanks for helping us promote Lake Ray Hubbard sailing, as well as the community initiatives of the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club.

The next time your company needs a meeting place, think of the Hilton Bella Harbor for your next event.  Several sailors in our community have already used the Hilton for hosting their out of town business clients.  They have a wide range of options for both small and large meetings.  Jennifer can help you set that next business meeting up.

    ----------------------

Tonight is Race #5, starting from the Chandlers Landing Jetty with a 5 mile loop course.  The beer party is hosted by Chandlers Landing Yacht & Tennis Club and Budweiser.  Chili's is going to have finger food for us after the race.

    ----------------------

Looking forward to another fantastic night of racing.  Check out the latest results and photos already posted from last night at www.dallasraceweek.com.

Thanks for helping us "Sail Into Service".

Wow! What a great night of racing from the Harbor to Rush Creek Yacht Club.  Some sailors called Race #3 a Super-Mini Chicago-Mac Race. Big thanks to the RCYC Aux Fleet for hosting an awesome party.

    -----------------

Tonight we race from Rush Creek YC to the Harbor starting at 7pm.  The Hilton is hosting the Post Race party on the Outside Patio of the Hilton.  They will have Beer, Wine, and Great Appetizers for us after the race.  Come dressed as you are, they know you're sailors, a 12 year old t-shirt of that Nationals that you placed 9th at is expected.

We are going to do a European Raft-up style at the Harbor along the breakwater.  This is where you anchor the bow out and pull the stern into any spot along the breakwater.  I guarantee that the breakwater drops off 6 feet at the water's edge.  Then walk up to the party!

Tonight is the major sponsor party where the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary President, Mike Lucas, will announce thousands of dollars worth of Grants to community projects and groups that will make a wonderful impact in Rockwall County.

    ----------------

The Shuttle is scheduled to start running from 8pm to 10:30pm between Chandlers Landing Yacht Club, Rush Creek YC, and the Hilton.  This should be a last resort for transportation if needed.  I suggest dropping a car off at Chandlers Landing Yacht Club, then driving on to Rush Creek for the start of Race 4.

The Shuttle is a free service to all sailors, if you use the shuttle, put a buck or two in the tip jar.  Thanks!

    ----------------

The Ticket Radio Station will be onsite at the Hilton from 3 - 7pm this afternoon, so listen in if you can.

    ----------------

All the scores are posted online and over 100 photos from last night are posted as well.  Please forward this email to your sailing distribution list and crew.  This email only goes to skippers. Thanks!
