RCYC invites all skippers and especially NEW Crew members to a fun race meant to GROW THE SPORT of sailboat racing. Youngsters, college kids and inexperienced sailors in general will be invited to crew on seasoned sailors' boats. This fun event will be held on the Columbia River between the I-5 and I-205 bridges. DESCRIPTION: The RSS prohibit flying a flag while racing, but that rule is waived for this race, the last beer can before July 4th. Fly the biggest baddest flag or ensign you can find, or as many flags as you can fit onboard. Fly the national ensign or yacht ensign, along with national flags of crew members, club burgees, specialty flags, etc. This race is sponsored by Rose City Yacht Club.
